Lost Brothel Pictures

July 26, 2011, California Hot Springs, California

Residents of the historic Williams House in the southern Sequoia National Forest of California (aka “Hilltop House”) have discovered a lost photo archive from the house’s 1920s brothel era.

“Until now, we have not had any photo evidence of the brothel. We are pretty excited,” offers homeowner Amanda Rose. Rose describes her discovery in the video below.

The brothel was operated by the daughter of J. Howard Williams, the home’s original homeowner. Ms. Williams was the sister of the soon-to-become California State Senator J. Howard Williams Jr. During the 1920s, Senator Williams began his business career managing the neighboring Hot Springs Resort on the path to a successful Senate career. Williams’ sister provided unique entertainment for Hot Springs Resort customers who needed additional relaxation.

Both of the J. Howard Williams children operated their respective businesses during their heyday.

“The Williams business savvy would be welcome today in Tulare County,” Rose adds. “As local businesses face bankruptcy and houses go into foreclosures, we have an historical example of leveraging your assets and ingenuity to build wealth and even to create a path to the California Senate.”

Local authorities are shocked by the photo discovery which has, so far, not implicated any senators.

The photo archive findings will be posted here as the home owners find time amidst the cease and desist letters.
